1. OUR PHILOSOPHY & ACCREDITATION

Professional Standards: We are professional LSA-accredited DJs. We view DJing as both a skill and a science, utilizing phrasing, keys, and BPM transitions to curate a bespoke storyline for your disco.

There two options with the music that is played at wedding discos.

1.1 Full Professional Control: We take the lead, utilizing our extensive library of top-tier wedding tracks across all genres to drive the evening.

1.2 Collaborative Curation (Recommended): You share your favourites, and we expertly blend them with our own supportive tracks, similar artists, and proven floor-fillers to ensure a balanced experience for all guests.

2. PLAYLIST GUIDELINES & SELECTION

To maintain the integrity of our brand and the energy of your event, we require a focused selection of music.

The 50-Track Limit: Please provide a maximum of 50 songs for your main disco set. Providing vast playlists (e.g., 10–15 hours of music) makes it impossible for us to distinguish your "all-time favourites" from "average" tracks, risking your best songs being missed.

Danceability: Please choose songs with the dance floor in mind. Many tracks that sound great in a car do not translate to a wedding environment. We recommend tracks from various eras with moderate to fast BPMs.

Deadline: All song choices must be shared via WhatsApp or Email no later than 3 weeks before your date to allow for our intensive preparation process.

3. SHARING YOUR PLAYLISTS

We recommend using primarily using Spotify and then Apple Music, or YouTube Music. Please provide the names or share individual lists for the following categories to ensure total clarity:

For instance create a playlist for - 'Alice & Jacob First Dance Song' and put your first dance song in it only. Same procedure for any other playlist. For instance 'Alice & Jacob Main Playlist Set' and put your 50 songs into that one playlist only.

1. First Dance Song
2. General Dance Song (Your main 50-track selection)
3. The Finale: The 1-3 specific song(s) you wish to end the night with.

OTHER POTENTIAL PLAYLISTS

1. Entrance song
2. Cake cutting song
3. Parent dances i.e Father/daughter & Mother/Son dances 
   
4. Guest requests (10-15 songs is plenty)
5. ‘No Play’ List: Please only include songs here that carry genuine "baggage" or are strictly off-limits.

Please note: By far the best flow to keep gearing up in energy are - entrance song to cake cutting track to parent songs to first dance track to main disco playlist!

4. THE CRAFT: DJ ARTISTIC FREEDOM

Our couples employ us for our professional expertise. Much like a photographer chooses the best angles, we retain full artistic freedom over the order and execution of the music.

No Fixed Sequencing: We will not play songs in a pre-determined order provided by the client.

The Science of the Set: We spend significant time grouping your choices into "mini-sets" based on vibe, BPM, and musical key. This allows us to respond live to the dance floor while maintaining a seamless, professional mix.

5. THE "DJ WITH US" EXPERIENCE

We are performance-driven DJs and love creating unique memories. We operate an "Open Booth" policy where we welcome the happy couple and their guests to come behind the decks and "mix with us." This creates an interactive experience as you help mix your favourite tracks into the celebration.

6. WEDDING BREAKFAST VS. EVENING DISCO

To ensure your evening music has maximum impact, please do not play your evening disco playlist during your afternoon Wedding Breakfast. We suggest a separate, slower-tempo acoustic or instrumental playlist for the meal to keep the evening set feeling fresh and high-energy.

7. COUPLES THAT LIKE TO DANCE, GROUP DYNAMICS SUMMER WEDDINGS & BARS

We provide many wedding discos and we notice that the wedding couples who enjoy dancing will always encourage a fuller dance floor as they will entice their families, bridesmaid and then their friends to join me. We play to different groups dynamics and whilst we can try our very best to play the tracks that will appeal to groups some guests will be more than happy to remain seated and enjoy listening, chatting with their friends and watching the dancefloor. Summer weddings can be hot and this can cause guests to want to take a break around 8/8.30pm after the first dance especially during the buffet opening. Disco halls where there are bar included are typically the best for the dancefloor as getting a drink doesn't pull guests away for too long.

8. PREPARATION & SOFTWARE

Once your list is received, we curate your bespoke set using professional Rekordbox software. This preparation takes at least one full working day and involves sourcing high-quality files and tagging tracks for live performance. Failure to provide your list by the 3-week deadline will result in a standard "UK Top Wedding" set being played.

10. BOOKING TERMS OF SERVICE

The Music Terms of Service are automatically agreed upon when accepting the Booking Terms of Service at the point of contracting our services.
